Former supermodel and actress Paulina Porizkova has learned that male attraction has an expiration date.
The Czech-born star, 61, noticed a total decline in the male gaze when she turned 58.
“If you want to find somebody, and you go out to events to meet people, if you are in your late 50s going out to parties, going to a bar, you’re going to totally get overlooked,” Porizkova told PEOPLE in an interview published Saturday, Oct. 17.
She continued, “I know people don’t believe me. They’re like, ‘Oh, you’re Paulina Porizkova, how is that possible?’ Well, you should just shadow me at a party and see how guys my age will just walk away and follow the 30-year-old to buy her a drink instead.”
The Her Alibi actress knows: Before she met her now-husband, television writer/producer Jeff Greenstein, 62, whom she wed in July, she tried a dating app after her 2017 split from Cars frontman Ric Ocasek.

The two had been married since 1989, and raised two sons, Jonathan, 32, and Oliver, 28.
“I was on Raya for five years, and I got, I got maybe four hits,” she said. “In five years! Older women are f—-ng invisible on Raya.”
Having made a career out of her looks, the sudden disinterest served as a surprising reality check.
“It was shocking to me, because [after the divorce from Ocasek], I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll do a lot of dating.’ And then I was like, ‘Wait, but with who?’ Because when I was dating before I met my husband, I was an extremely popular date. So going from being the hottest girl in town to being an invisible 58-year-old was really shocking.”
Fortunately Porizkova’s age was just right for the man she married.
“I wasn’t ruling out the idea of meeting a contemporary,” Greenstein told PEOPLE.
