News by : (cricketaddictor) -

The PCB has partnered with Pink Ribbon Pakistan to promote early detection, regular screening, and timely treatment of breast cancer. The campaign will involve players, match officials, broadcasters, and spectators, with awareness activities at the stadium and free mammogram screenings for female fans from October 24 to 26.

The board previously organized a Pink Day event during a home T20I against South Africa. Special Pink Ribbon activities will begin two hours before the England match, giving spectators an opportunity to learn more about breast cancer awareness and early diagnosis.

"The Pakistan Cricket Board recognizes the responsibility that comes with the immense following and influence of cricket in our country. Through this Pink Ribbon initiative, we want to use the platform of international cricket to raise awareness about breast cancer and highlight the importance of early detection and timely medical attention.

Gaddafi Stadium to Feature Pink Branding and Awareness Messages

The stadium will adopt the Pinktober theme, with pink-branded stumps, LED boundary boards, and match-day signage. Breast cancer awareness messages and campaign visuals will appear on the big screen throughout the match.

Fans can support the initiative by purchasing limited-edition pink merchandise, including travel polo shirts and fan shirts. The items will be available at the PCB Merchandise Shop at Gaddafi Stadium from Monday, October 19, and through the board's official online store at shop.pcb.com.pk.

PCB Director Commercial Ali Adnan Zaidi said:

"We want our fans to be active participants in this campaign and help take the message of early detection and screening to their families and communities."

"Cricket has the power to unite Pakistan and this partnership with the Pakistan Cricket Board gives us an extraordinary platform to turn that unity into action for women’s health.
