Prince Harry unfortunately couldn’t accommodate Prince Archie’s one request when it came to his new school.
During his and Megan Markle‘s appearance in Nottingham, England on Thursday — their first joint appearance since making their UK return — Harry chatted with fans and shared a funny story about Archie going to school.
“You like math? I love that,” he said in a video of a conversation with a young onlooker shared to Instagram. “You know most people don’t like math. My son turned around to me and said, ‘Can I go to a school that doesn’t do math?’ and I said, ‘It doesn’t exist!'”
“And he went to this new school, and on the first day [in] the first class, guess what it was: math!” Harry said, presumably referring to the school Archie transferred to when the family moved back across the pond.

Coincidentally, Nottingham is where Harry and Markle made their first joint appearance as royals just days after announcing their engagement in 2017.
Their appearance comes a little less than two months after the Sussexes, along with Archie, 7, and their daughter Lilibet, 5, moved back to the UK. The family spent six years in California after they stepped down from royal duties in 2020. They now live in the Cotswolds, northwest of London.
An additional video posted by Seale showed Markle chatting, shaking hands, and hugging well-wishers.
