Halloween isn’t complete without McDonald’s iconic Boo Buckets—and this year, the popular items have an evil twist.
The Chicago-based chain announced Thursday that its Boo Buckets for 2026 will feature five legendary Disney Villains: Jafar from Aladdin; Ursula from The Little Mermaid; Scar from The Lion King; Cruella from 101 Dalmatians and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.
The buckets, which come in orange, red, purple, green and black and white, hit restaurants Oct. 20. They each come with stickers and a “villain-inspired lid,” and will be available for a limited time while supplies last.
“Whether you’re into fabulous flair, mystical magic, fierce ambition, royal schemes, or sea-witch swagger, there’s a Boo Bucket for every kind of Villains fan,” McDonald’s said in an announcement.
The Boo Bucket designs leaked across social media earlier this week, with mixed reviews from Boo Bucket fans. McDonald’s first launched the beloved buckets in 1986, with the items going on hiatus beginning in 2016.
They officially returned to restaurants for the Halloween season in 2022.
