As temperatures continue to drop, crawling out of bed in the morning can feel even harder, especially when your feet hit a cold, hard floor. A plush shag rug is an easy way to make those first few steps more comfortable while adding warmth and texture to your space. Whether you place it beside your bed, in a living room, or in a cozy reading nook, the right rug can make a room feel more inviting without requiring a major makeover.
One affordable option is the Junovo Oval Shag Area Rug, which is currently on sale for 33% off at Walmart. The price has dropped from $30 to just $20, saving you $10 on a soft accent piece just in time for colder weather.

Colorful versions can add personality to a child’s bedroom or playroom, while neutral shades blend easily with existing furniture and decor. Its oval shape also offers a softer alternative to traditional rectangular rugs, making it a nice fit beside a bed, near an armchair, or in a small seating area.
Made from polyester with a faux-sheepskin texture, the rug features a silky plush surface that feels soft underfoot. It measures approximately 2.6 by 5.3 feet and has a pile thickness of about 1.77 inches, giving it a thick, cushioned feel without requiring a large amount of floor space. The non-slip backing helps keep it from sliding around on the floor, making it a practical choice for everyday use.

Despite its fluffy appearance, the rug is designed to be relatively easy to maintain. You can spot-clean it with a damp cloth or hand-wash it as needed, then let it air-dry in a well-ventilated area. Shaking it out helps restore its fluffy texture, while its stain-resistant design can make routine upkeep easier. The rug arrives vacuum-packed, so don’t worry if it initially looks thinner than expected. Give it about three to four days to regain its intended thickness.
With over 2,000 five-star ratings, shoppers seem to love it too. One reviewer described the rig as “beautiful” and “luxurious,” writing, “It feels so soft under my feet every morning when I get out of bed. It looks good, feels good, and doesn’t break the bank.” Another shopper said it’s “very soft and fluffy,” highlighting its “perfect size” and “great price.”
