If it’s Tuesday, it’s NCIS night on CBS and the 2026-2027 Fall season launched the No. 1 franchise in the world to a ratings high.

The night showcased major characters across the franchise, including the return of Michael Weatherly as Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo Jr. on NCIS, LL COOL J as Sam Hanna and Scott Caan as Nick Schaeffer in NCIS: New York, and Mark Harmon joining NCIS: Origins, reprising his role as Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

The result was that the all-NCIS Tuesday night lineup delivered a No. 1 broadcast finish averaging 5.49 million viewers, up +39% from last year’s CBS Premiere Tuesday (10/14/25, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney).

NCIS’ Season 24 premiere was Tuesday night’s No. Tuesday night’s No. 1 most-watched scripted broadcast program averaging 6.45m viewers, and NCIS’ most-watched episode since the season 21 finale on May 26, 2024. It was also an increase of 21 percent compared to its year-ago season premiere and up +20 percent from its year-ago season average.

The premiere of NCIS: New York also fared well in the ratings. It was Tuesday night’s No. 2 most-watched scripted broadcast program averaging 5.62m viewers. And it did well in the time period with an increase of +53 percent compared to the year-ago time period premiere of NCIS: Origins.

While NCIS: Origins at 10 p.m. might’ve been the least-watched of the three series, it still won its time period. The Season 3 premiere tallied 4.39 million viewers, up 20 percent compared to its year-ago premiere in the 9 p.m. hour and 56 percent from the year-ago time-period premiere of NCIS: Sydney.

All three NCIS shows return this Tuesday with NCIS at 8 p.m. ET/PT, NCIS: New York at 9p.m. and NCIS: Origins at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Stream next day on Paramount+.
