The holidays at Walt Disney World are about to sound a lot more merry this year!
Disney has been slowly teasing what guests can expect this festive season, from returning Christmas parties and seasonal entertainment to limited-time twists on some fan-favorite attractions. And now, one of EPCOT’s most popular rides is joining the celebration with a change that could have guests getting back in line again and again.
Beginning Nov. 25, Disney is giving the attraction a festive update for a limited time, and unlike your standard holiday overlay, this one comes with an element of surprise.
So, which ride is getting the holiday treatment—and what exactly is changing? Here’s what Disney just revealed.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Is Getting 3 Holiday Songs
From Nov. 25 through Jan. 6, 2027, guests riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will have the chance to blast off to one of three holiday tracks:
“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra “Christmas Wrapping” by The WaitressesThe three seasonal songs will be shuffled to create a different experience from ride to ride, according to Disney.
For anyone unfamiliar with the EPCOT favorite, music is a major part of the Cosmic Rewind experience. The indoor coaster currently sends riders racing through space to one of six songs, including “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps and “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears.
So, yes, having a favorite Cosmic Rewind song is basically a Disney World personality test at this point.
And this isn’t the first time Disney has brought some holiday cheer to the attraction. In 2022, Cosmic Rewind received a seasonal remix called “Run Rocket Run.” This year, however, Disney is changing things up by giving riders three different holiday tracks to chase.
And Guardians Isn’t the Only Ride Getting a Holiday Makeover
Apparently, Disney World is really cranking up the holiday playlist this year.
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Electric Mayhem is getting festive with Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay, running Nov. 4 through Jan. 6.
The limited-time experience will transform the Muppets’ concert into a holiday celebration complete with seasonal tunes and new surprises.
And the new holiday set list is pretty stacked.
Guests could find themselves speeding along to “Holiday Road” performed by The Electric Mayhem with Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” featuring Jennifer Hudson, “Silver Bells” featuring Cyndi Lauper or “Little Saint Nick” by The Electric Mayhem.
Because nothing says peaceful holiday season quite like Animal on the drums and a high-speed launch.

Toy Story Land Is Joining the Party, Too
The little green aliens are apparently not sitting this Christmas out either.
From Nov. 4 through Jan. 6, Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will feature new holiday tunes courtesy of DJ Lilypad.
The seasonal playlist includes new takes on festive favorites such as “Deck the Halls” and “Toyland,” along with appropriately swirling originals including “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers” and “Joy to the Swirl.”
The holiday music builds on the new Lilypad’s Jams experience Disney introduced at Alien Swirling Saucers this fall, which brought a new DJ, reimagined Toy Story favorites and original songs to the attraction.
More Holiday Magic Is Coming to Disney World
The ride overlays are just part of Walt Disney World’s holiday plans for 2026.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will return to Magic Kingdom, while EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays will once again feature its Candlelight Processional and celebrity narrators.
But for coaster fans, this year’s biggest reason to get into the holiday spirit may be considerably faster-paced.
Between three new Guardians songs, a Muppets holiday concert and Toy Story Land’s festive jams, Disney World is giving guests plenty of reasons to rock around the theme parks this holiday season.
And if you don’t get your favorite song the first time? Well, that’s what another ride is for.
