Henry Winkler‘s wife of almost 50 years, Stacey Weitzman, recently revealed that she believes he isn’t honest about one aspect of his life.
Fox News reported that Winkler and Weitzman discussed their love of fly fishing during a September 2026 interview with Graham Bensinger. Weitzman shared that she doesn’t enjoy fly fishing with Winkler, as he is uncharacteristically illogical and immature while doing so.
“He’s too crazy. He is this reasonable man who turns into a seven-year-old,” said Weitzman.
She then explained that Winkler doesn’t adhere to certain fly fishing courtesies.
“Henry has no rules. If you are fishing somewhere in your area and Henry thinks he sees some bubbles or whatever, he’s going there. So there is nothing sacred,” said Weitzman.
She also confirmed that she had accused Winkler of “pad[ding] his numbers” when it comes to the fish he has caught, which shocked the Happy Days actor.

“I write down in my book exactly. Sometimes I don’t round off. That I do only in charity,” said Winkler.
His wife then responded, “The biggest charity is your fish size. You are about your fish size the way other people are about other sizes.”
