ESPN College GameDay will return to Tuscaloosa on Saturday for No. 6 Alabama football’s highly anticipated matchup with No. 2 Georgia.
Saturday will mark the Crimson Tide’s 63rd appearance on College GameDay and its 21st time hosting it on campus. The pregame show last appeared on campus at The University of Alabama last October, as the Crimson Tide defeated Vanderbilt in a revenge game.
“WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO TUSCALOOSA,” the show’s X account posted Saturday afternoon.

Coverage will begin live from the Quad at 8 a.m. CT and run until 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.
Saturday’s show will also be the fourth time Alabama has hosted College GameDay with Georgia in town. Most recently, College GameDay visited Tuscaloosa on Sept. 28, 2024, for a No. 2 vs. No. 4 showdown between the Bulldogs and Alabama, which the Crimson Tide won 41-34 in a thriller.
The show was ESPN analyst and former Alabama head coach Nick Saban’s first in Tuscaloosa since his retirement. Saban’s wife, Terry Saban, served as celebrity guest picker, and she outperformed her husband’s game picks in the process.
“I might be the worst picker in the history of ball,” Nick Saban said in October 2024. “I mean, when Miss Terry completely kicks my a-s on GameDay in front of the whole world, I mean how bad is that.”
“We were never able to tailgate and now we can.”

The other two times GameDay appeared in Tuscaloosa with the Bulldogs in town were in 2007 and 2020. The No. 2 Crimson Tide trailed at halftime in 2020, but rallied with 21 unanswered points to knock off No. 3 Georgia en route to Alabama’s 18th national title.
Reigning NFL Most Valuable Player award winner Matthew Stafford led Georgia to a dramatic 26-23 overtime win over the Crimson Tide in 2007, which kickstarted a 9-1 finish in 2007 and a No. 2 final ranking in the AP Top 25.
Kickoff between Alabama and Georgia on Saturday is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
