September 26, 2026 Barxhop Natatorium, San Antonio, TX SCY (25 yards) Results Final Scores: Women: TCU 203.5 – UIW 91.5 Men: TCU 169 – UIW 130TCU completed the sweep of Incarnate Word on Saturday, with the Horned Frog women taking down the Cardinals 203.5 to 91.5, and the men taking care of business with a score of 169 to 130.
The Horned Frogs were nearly untouchable, opening with 1-2 finishes in the 1000 freestyles: Keren Ayzbruch (10:31.11) and Anna-Grace Guenther (10:40.96). The men followed suit with a 1-2 race of their own, with Deacon Gutshall and Cash Strickland taking the top two spots in 9:30.66 and 9:44.47, respectively.
TCU then saw even more wins as Avery Dillon (1:52.80), Eli Summa (1:54.96), and Sydney Inman (1:54.98) swept the top three in the 200 free.
Nina Vadovicova topped the women’s 100 breast in 1:05.15 and completed the breaststroke sweep by stopping the clock first in the 200 breast in 2:19.81. Hannah Wachendorfer opened the season with a pair of solid wins, first in the 100 free in 52.06, then later picking up the 200 IM victory in 2:08.73.
TCU was also lifted by the men’s 400 free relay squad of Nigel Forbes, Thomas Bradac, Jacob Gramer, and Gabe Bosler-Kilmer, who stormed to the final touch in 3:01.37.
Incarnate Word opened the meet with wins in both the women’s and men’s 200 medley relay; the women’s contingent of Kristin Schauss, Sofia Damnjanova, Valeria Garza, and Jada Ashford opened the meet on a high note in 1:43.69. The men followed suit as Tristain Clark, Yassen El Sherrif, Hatem Elsayed, and Domantas Trota narrowly edged out the Horned Frogs in 1:29.39.
The first Incarnate Word individual event win came in the men’s 200 freestyle, as Gabriel Mederious took the top spot in 1:41.61, with his teammate Derek Montoya finishing 3rd in 1:43.15.
The women’s 50 free was dominated by the Cardinals, with Ashford and Madeline Wollny finishing 1-2 in 23.43 and 23.94, respectively.
El Sherrif also added a win on the men’s 100 breast in 55.76, with Max Linkins winning the 200 back later in the meet in 1:50.02.
Ashford, Harmonee Freelon, Wollny, and Kelechi Nwaeze closed out the meet for the Cardinal women in the 400 free, winning in 3:31.03.
