This year’s theme was “Together, We Are More.” The event ran from noon until 4 p.m. and featured live performances, music, and guided tours of the gallery’s collection. Attendees could also grab a bite to eat and take part in a Zumba class.
“The Memorial Art Gallery has always had its welcoming doors to us here, and that fact that this is one of the largest attended Hispanic heritage events in our entire county speaks to the warm welcome that we receive,” said Annette Ramos, Memorial Art Gallery Hispanic Heritage Committee member.
“This is one of my favorite days at the museum because the museum just comes to life. It is bursting with energy and dynamism and a celebration of what makes our community so rich, the diversity that’s here,” said Sarah Jesse, director of the Memorial Art Gallery.
The celebration highlighted Hispanic heritage in Rochester for over 25 years.
