VENTURA, Calif. (KEYT) – Ventura Police arrested a 29-year-old man for firearm and narcotics possession after a car chase just before 7:00 p.m. Friday.
VPD officers patrolled the area of Victoria Ave. and Valentine Road and noticed a traffic violation before stopping the man's car.
The man then led VPD officers into a car chase before abandoning his car and fleeing on foot.
VPD officers then took both a loaded handgun and methamphetamine from the man's possession.
VPD officers then booked the 29-year-old man on the following charges:
