Liliana Quevedo of Reno, Nevada has announced her verbal commitment to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame.
“I am SO excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Notre Dame to further my academic and athletic careers! First, I would like to thank my friends and family for their unconditional love and support. Next, I thank Coach Nened and Sharon, and my trainer Tanner, for their time and dedication to help me succeed to the next level. Lastly, I give a HUGE thanks to the @ndswimdive coaches for allowing me this opportunity! I am so grateful for this next stage in my life and can’t wait to get started! GO IRISH!!”
Quevedo swims for the Lakeridge Swim Team and Galena High School. She most recently competed at Futures in Sacramento where she was highlighted by a 4th place finish in the 200 breast with a lifetime best 2:36.26. She also finished 17th in the 100 breast in a lifetime best 1:13.21 and swam a lifetime best 5:07.44 in the 400 IM as well.
Back in May, she swam to a Nevada 5A State title as she won the 100 breast in a 1:03.59. She also swam to a runner up finish in the 200 IM with a 2:04.56.
Quevedo’s Best SCY Times Are:
200 breast: 2:14.97 100 breast: 1:02.45 200 IM: 2:01.73The Notre Dame women finished 11th out of 15 teams at the 2026 ACC Championships with 366 points. Diver Grace Courtney led the team with 49 points and was followed by Carli Cronk who scored 39 individual points. Cronk was most notably 4th in the 200 fly (1:52.59).
Based on her best times, Quevedo is a strong addition to the team’s breaststroke group. It took a 2:12.74 to final at ACCs in the 200 breast, and Gracyn Lanning was the team’s highest finisher with a 2:14.35 for 29th. Mary Codevilla (1:00.92) and Lanning (1:02.28) made the ‘C’ final of the 100 breast, an event it took a 1:02.20 to make it back.
Quevedo is the first public commitment on the women’s side for the high school class of 2028.
