The Price Is Right is looking a little different these days.
Fans of the long-running daytime game show hosted by Drew Carey have noticed that something is missing from recent episodes.
“An entire week of The Price Is Right without any female models,” one person tweeted. On Reddit, another viewer asked, “As the new season begins, I’ve noticed some changes. Zero ‘models’ on Monday. Just James O’Halloran for now (so far). Are they eliminating models? Budget cuts?”

The show has a new format, where there are still six models, but they each rotate episodes rather than appear in pairs or trios. Those models are Rachel Reynolds, Amber Lancaster, Devin Goda, Alexis Gaube, and Manuela Arbeláez, and the one male model, James O’Halloran.

“It’s very busy. I would say that’s probably the key thing. It’s nonstop. We’re doing three shows a day now. It used to be two shows, so they’re really squeezing more and more in,” he told TV Insider. “There’s one rehearsal for all three, and so it just takes a lot of focus throughout the day, hitting all your marks, making sure I’m there for every cue because we’ll run the whole Showcase, and I’ve got to remember every spot that I’ve got to be for every show.”
Since there are now three episodes filmed per day, chances are you are going to see the same model in back-to-back episodes, which also may explain the confusion among viewers.
Despite the switch-up, The Price Is Right is not going anywhere anytime soon. CBS recently announced that this year marks Carey’s 20th season as host, and the series is still the longest consecutively running game show in television history.
