Every cup contains seasoning that flavors the noodles and broth with spicy garlic and savory chicken, and, once hot water is added, the noodles turn blood-red. That scary, red color doesn’t come from artificial dyes, though: Cup Noodles says the vibrant red hue comes from vegetable color, namely coloring derived from beets.
In a press release, Priscila Stanton, senior vice president of marketing at Nissin Foods, which manufactures Cup Noodles, said, “Halloween is the perfect moment to create something unexpected, and Vampire Noodles does exactly that.
