Starting with what we believe to be the sweetest menu update of them all is the arrival of DQ’s new Enchanted Oreo Blizzard Treat, which stars the vibrant Filipino-native purple yam, ube (which is known for its mellow mix of sweet, nutty and earthy flavors).

Parade editors aren’t the only ones charmed by the new frozen treat, as food blogger Snackolator confessed in a Sept. 21 Instagram post that they “can’t wait to try this one.”
Another Instagram user admitted they’re “always down for anything ube flavored.”
“I’ll happily be first in line to try it,” a third said in approval, adding that they have “very low expectations” for it (as Ube can be a tough flavor to recreate), but still “hope they get it right!”
A different follower cheered, “UBE UBE UBE UBE UBE UBE UBE.”
“So here for thisss,” another added, teasing that it’s about time the chain launched its own version of the popular global flavor, “finally.”
“OMGG YAYYY,” one more exclaimed.
Along with the new frozen treat, guests can also expect to find the all-new citrusy Bubble Brew DQ Sparkler, a new “fiery” Ghost Pepper Sauce and collectible DQ Mystery Blizzard Buddy keychains available for a limited time this season.

New Bubble Brew DQ Sparkler: Blood orange and lemonade, mixed with a splash of sparkling water and a touch of whimsy, served over ice and topped with cold foam. DQ says stirring will “activate the magic” as the more you stir, the more it bubbles and foams. New Ghost Pepper Sauce: A blazing ghost pepper dip with fiery, bold, smoky pepper heat, perfect for pairing with a four-piece Chicken Strip Basket, featuring 100 percent all-white-meat seasoned chicken strips, fries, and Texas toast. According to Dairy Queen’s Sept. 22 announcement, the new Blizzard, Sparkler and Ghost Pepper Sauce will be available at locations nationwide from Monday, Sept. 28, through Sunday, Nov. 1 (prices may vary).
As for that collectible DQ Mystery Blizzard Buddy plush keychain, we’re told fans can add it to any DQ order for about $4 each—but only while supplies last, at participating locations.
