Joanna Gaines celebrated an emotional family milestone as her son Duke Gaines marked his senior night. The Fixer Upper star shared a rare photo on her Instagram Stories showing Duke, 18, standing on a football field with his parents, Chip Gaines and Joanna.
Wearing his blue-and-white uniform, Duke held a gift bag while his mom carried a bouquet of flowers. “Senior night,” Joanna wrote over the photo, shared on her Instagram Story on Sunday, September 20. See the photo here.
The occasion comes as Chip and Joanna adjust to having several of their children entering adulthood. The longtime couple shares five children: Drake, 21, Ella, 19, Duke, 18, Emmie, 16, and Crew, 8.
Duke turned 18 on May 23, making senior year another major milestone for the family. He’s currently a senior at Valor Preparatory Academy in Waco, Texas, the same school his older brother Drake attended before heading off to play college baseball at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, according to The List.
