A Chicago pizzeria has just been named one of the best in the world in a new ranking.
“50 Top Pizza” released its list of the 100 best pizza spots in the world, naming Chicago’s Robert’s Pizza and Dough Co. among the best of the best.
The ranking, released Wednesday, showed the Chicago eatery, located at 456 N. McClurg St., ranked at No. 35 in the most recent list.
Streeterville’s husband-and-wife pizza joint had previously made the publication’s 50 best in the U.S. list, ranking at No. 8, which allowed them to be considered for the global ranking.
“2026 was a particularly significant year for 50 Top Pizza,” the guide’s three curators – Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro, and Albert Sapere – said in a statement. “We saw not only growth in the number of pizzerias and professionals involved, but also the consolidation of an international community that is increasingly aware of the value of quality. We are proud of the journey we have taken and, once again, of the stories we have had the privilege of encountering and sharing.”
While Robert’s wasn’t the only Chicago spot to make the U.S. list, they were the only Illinois eatery to make the global top 100. Other Chicago eateries on the U.S. list were Coda di Volpe at No. 43 and then Jimmy Pizza ranked 13th when it came to pizza by the slice.
As for the international ranking, the top spots include:
1 Napoli on the Road – London, England
2 Una Pizza Napoletana – New York, USA
3 Confine – Milan, Italy
4 I Masanielli – Francesco Martucci – Caserta, Italy
4 Seu Pizza Illuminati – Rome, Italy
5 Pizzeria Sei– Los Angeles, USA
Robert’s Pizza called it an “unexpected and wonderful journey,” but thanked their team for helping to elevate them to the top 50 status.
“To find ourselves here in Napoli, surrounded by an extraordinary global pizza community, celebrating the people, traditions, and creativity behind something we all love, makes this moment even more special,” the restaurant captioned a series of photos from the ceremony.
