Heidi Klum Shares First Clue About Her ‘Bloody’ 2026 Halloween Costume (Exclusive) ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

It’s the time of the year when Heidi Klum, aka the queen of Halloween, is busy preparing for her annual bash that honors saints and dead ancestors each October 31. The invitation-only bash began in 2000 — except for a two-year hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 — and it is costumes mandatory. No one gets in without dressing up.

Part of the anticipation of the event each year is the wait to discover what Heidi will be wearing, as she is dressed to kill every year with costumes so elaborate she is often unrecognizable. And despite being a great beauty, she doesn’t mind getting ugly for the occasion. So, expect her to slay this Halloween, as she promises Parade in this exclusive interview.

“I will give you one clue,” she teases. “It’s bloody.”

Past costumes have included Medusa, E.T., a giant worm, a peacock, Fiona from Shrek, a werewolf from Thriller, Jessica Rabbit, and Klum Klones, to name a few.

“I loved when I made myself really old,” Heidi says. “That’s a lot of fun. I turned myself into someone who was like 90. I also loved being an alien. I was really kind of a robot alien. I was red with purple hair, and I was on stilts, so I was like extra tall. When you look at photos, if I’m not standing next to a person, it’s not as great as if you see me next to someone else. Then you just realize how tall I was because I had to learn how to walk on stilts, which I loved.”

This year to go along with her bloody – as yet to be revealed — costume theme, Heidi has teamed up with Apothic, America’s No. 1 red blend wine, and their creation of a party accessory, the Apothic Type ‘A’ Blood Bag, a limited-edition collectible designed to resemble a blood transfusion bag, signed by Heidi and delivered in a custom red cooler.  Apothic is also giving one fan the chance to attend Heidi’s legendary annual Halloween party in New York City with a guest by sharing how they plan to celebrate with Apothic this Halloween. The entry period is September 14-27 at ApothicBloodTypeA.com.

“[The Blood Bag] is super gory, but it couldn’t be more fitting because, obviously, normally you need a blood transfusion bag when something is seriously wrong with you, but Halloween, that’s what Halloween is all about,” Heid says. “It’s not about funny clowns. It’s about gory and the creatures of the night are coming out. There’s always a lot of blood and Dracula and people sucking blood out of their veins in the neck, so I feel like having a blood transfusion bag was so perfect.  I think people will have a lot of fun with this.”

Heidi came up with the idea to do an annual Halloween party because she’s always loved dressing up. When she was growing up in Germany, her mother would make her costumes for the February carnival — known as Karneval, Fasching, or Fastnacht – but Halloween wasn’t really celebrated in Germany. It wasn’t until she moved to New York when she was 20, that she was introduced to Halloween and began her search for the perfect party.

“I’d go to some of these Halloween parties and people were just not given anything,” she recalls. “Why is no one in great costumes? So, I was like, ‘I’m going to do a party.’This is really how it sparked my idea on doing one myself because I thought all the parties were so lame and the costumes people were doing even lamer. I was like, ‘There needs to be a person who really shows them to give more.’”

It’s now 26 years later, and each year Heidi comes up with her outrageous costumes herself, and she incorporates her family, who are into it, but not as much as she is.

“I don’t know if you saw [daughter] Leni last year,” Heidi says. “She always tries to also be very niche. [Last year she dressed] like a book of this little girl who has these rainbow stripes on her skin [Camilla Cream from the children’s book A Bad Case of Stripes], so she spent all day putting rainbow stripes on every part of her skin that was exposed, so she looked exactly like this little girl from the book. Leni is definitely someone who is into it. [Daughter] Lou, also, but not as hard yet. She’s more into anime and she makes her own wigs, where she curls them and teases them and cuts them, so that they stay in these weird shapes that a lot of the anime characters have.”
