Krasinski previously explained that his approach to juggling Hollywood and fatherhood is actually pretty straightforward.
“Honestly, the simple answer is ‘kids and family first,’” he said during an interview with CBS Mornings. “One of us is always home with the kids. And listen, we bring those kids wherever we’re shooting and wherever we can spend time with them.”
He has gone to some serious lengths to stick to that rule. While filming the first season of Jack Ryan in Montreal, Krasinski flew to London every weekend to see his family while Blunt was working on Mary Poppins Returns. “Family for me, it’s a non-negotiable thing,” he previously told People.
Blunt has been equally protective of Hazel and Violet’s privacy—and once revealed that she hoped they could remain unaware of their parents’ celebrity for as long as possible.
“We’ve never said that word in our house,” Blunt told The Sunday Times of fame, recalling her surprise when Hazel once returned from school and asked, “Are you famous?”
