Savannah Guthrie shared a sweet story about Lady Gaga that has fans looking back at one of the singer’s predictions from more than a decade ago.
During the September 14 episode of Today, Guthrie reflected on an interview she did with Gaga in 2014, when she was pregnant with her first child, daughter Vale.
At the time, Guthrie and her husband, Mike Feldman, had decided not to find out the sex of their baby before the birth, but Gaga apparently had a feeling about who was on the way.
“When I was pregnant with Vale and we didn’t find out if it was a boy or a girl, Lady Gaga came on and she said, ‘I think you’re having a girl,’” Guthrie recalled.
Guthrie said she asked Gaga how she could possibly know.
“And she said, ‘She told me,’” Guthrie recalled of the moment.
The prediction turned out to be right. Guthrie and Feldman welcomed their daughter, Vale, who is now 12. The couple are also parents to 9-year-old son Charley.
Guthrie’s Today co-host Jenna Bush Hager, who is Vale’s godmother, was stunned by the story.
“What! Vale and Lady Gaga had a connection?!” Bush Hager exclaimed.
“I know!” Guthrie responded. “They had a psychic message in utero.”
