“It sucks,” Bareilles told the New York Times on Wednesday, September 9. “Of course I wish I didn’t have a miscarriage.”
After losing a good friend earlier this year, Bareilles admitted it was a “relief” to not be pregnant, saying it would have been “really, really, really hard.”

The couple met in 2015 during a tryout for the musical Waitress. They announced their engagement on New Year’s Day 2023, and tied the know nearly three years later.
