Despite the Dublin Guardians team’s poor start, Dravid has stayed away from team selection and match strategies and has mainly focused on supporting the franchise in the first-ever season of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) 2026 in the Netherlands. Rahul is behaving like an owner: Vikram Rathour
Rathour was quoted as saying, by the Hindustan Times, "Rahul is behaving like an owner. I mean, he hasn't been too involved. So, it's been good. But I mean, as I said earlier, it is great to have somebody like him on the other side, because he spent enough time being a coach.”
Rathour has also credited Ashwin for making his job easier. He shared that the former Indian spinner follows cricket across the world and has strong knowledge of players and conditions in different countries. His understanding of overseas players has been a big help for Rathour.
The coach added, “It surprises you, actually, at times, how much he knows about these conditions and these players. So, again, a great help to have somebody like him around. Because, like I said earlier, my time has been spent in Indian cricket mostly. So, for me, it was something very new and very different. But having somebody like Ashwin around has really helped.”
