George Strait has a major new achievement under his belt.
More than 45 years after kicking off his legendary career, the 74-year-old country reached an impressive milestone on the Billboard charts, thanks to his 2004 compilation album, 50 Number Ones.
According to new chart standings dated the week of Sept. 12, 50 Number Ones landed at No. 81 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, marking its milestone 400th week spent on the chart—the most of any of Strait’s albums.
50 Number Ones jumped more than 10 spots from last week’s position at No. 94, proving that even 20 years after the album’s release, fans still aren’t tired of listening to some of the biggest songs of Strait’s career.

Released in October 2004, 50 Number Ones was Strait’s sixth compilation album, spendings two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It features some of his most beloved tunes, from “Carrying Your Love With Me” to “All My Ex’s Live in Texas,” plus his first-ever No. 1 single, “Fool Hearted Memory.”
Along with 50 of his No. 1 hits, the compilation album also includes “I Hate Everything,” which was served as the lead single for the record.
Strait has since racked up even more hits, earning more No. 1s than any other country artist with a whopping 60 chart-toppers across his career. Of those, 44 reached the summit of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, while another 16 topped non-Billboard charts, including Radio & Records, Mediabase and The Gavin Report.
