ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Summer is “going out” with a bang! Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, but we’ll want this weather to keep going. Temperatures overnight will drop into the lower 50s and upper 40s. So it’ll be a cool start to Monday, but we’ll warm pretty quickly thanks to dry air and a lot of sun. Temperatures by the afternoon should rebound back into the mid 70s with just a few clouds from time to time.
Tuesday also looks really nice, with sunshine mixed with high clouds. It’ll be a few degrees warmer than Monday, pushing us into the mid to upper 70s. Dry weather will stick around Tuesday, but start to chance on Wednesday. Our next wave of low pressure will start to move in on Wednesday. this means more clouds and an increasing chance of some showers or thunder, especially by afternoon or evening. But it’ll likely be our warmest day, with highs pushing into the lower 80s, as long as we can hold the rain off long enough.
A cold front sweeps through on Thursday, with rain chances diminishing but temperatures also starting to drop. We’ll have another bout of fall-like air by the end of next week, with highs in the upper 60s by next Friday.
