PALMYRA, N.Y. — The Mayor of Palmyra has confirmed that Police Chief Kyle DiNardo has resigned from the police department.
In a statement to News10NBC, Mayor Perry said: “Chief Kyle DiNardo has resigned from the Palmyra Police Department. I want to thank him for his service to this community. Senior Officer Tim Bryant has been appointed Officer in Charge and will lead the department moving forward. I have full confidence in Tim’s ability to lead our officers with professionalism and integrity. Our newly formed Police Commission Board will play a key role in this transition, and my priority remains a department this community can trust”
In a Facebook post, the Palmyra Village Police Benevolent Association says it is standing in support of DiNardo.
“The members of the Palmyra Village PBA are grateful for Chief DiNardo’s leadership, his service, and the support he provided to the men and women of this department,” the PBA said in its post.
