As a user of multiple devices, I frequently check out different charging stations so that I can maximize my desk real estate. I like having a dedicated place to charge my devices without having a collection of cables and individual chargers taking up valuable space. When I came across the KUXIU D5 5-in-1 Wireless Charging Station, I was immediately interested because it takes a slightly different approach to the traditional multi-device charging station.
About the KUXIU D5
The KUXIU D5 is a 5-in-1 wireless charging station designed to consolidate charging for your smartphone, Apple Watch, and wireless earbuds into a single desktop setup. It combines Qi2.2 wireless charging with up to 25W of power for compatible smartphones, along with 5W charging for Apple Watch and compatible earbuds.
What makes the D5 stand out is its collection of additional features. It includes an integrated TFT color display that provides real-time charging information, a built-in cooling fan designed to help manage charging temperatures, and a motorized Apple Watch charger that retracts into the body of the unit when not in use. The display can also function as a clock and show animated expressions.
The D5 measures just 2.91 × 2.95 × 4.25 inches and weighs approximately 0.78 pounds. KUXIU also includes a 45W power adapter and charging cable, so everything needed to get started is included in the box.

User Experience
The D5 comes in a simple, retail-style box. It’s white, with an image of the product on the front along with the name “5-in-1 Wireless Charging Station D5.” There isn’t a lot of information about the product on the box itself, but KUXIU does a good job of providing more detailed information on its website.
The charging station comes fully assembled, so getting it ready to use is very simple. All you have to do is unfold it and plug it in. KUXIU includes a 45W power adapter and a white, fabric-covered USB-C cable. There’s also a user manual included with instructions in six different languages.
One thing I noticed when setting up the charging station is that there are actually only three places to charge devices. It appears that the “5-in-1” designation comes from the combination of smartphone charging, Apple Watch charging, earbud charging, the built-in TFT display, and the active cooling fan rather than five separate charging surfaces. I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing, but it’s something worth pointing out because the name could give the impression that you can charge five devices at once.
Charging Performance
The KUXIU D5 performed well during my charging tests. I tested the charging performance of both an iPhone 16 Pro and Apple Watch Series 8 in two separate 30-minute sessions. During the first test, the iPhone 16 Pro went from 17% to 67%, gaining 50 percentage points in 33 minutes. The Apple Watch Series 8 went from 13% to 61% over the same period, gaining 48 percentage points.
I repeated the test with both devices starting at higher battery levels. The iPhone went from 39% to 75%, gaining 36 percentage points in 31 minutes, while the Apple Watch increased from 57% to 82%, gaining 25 percentage points.
The difference between the two tests demonstrates an important characteristic of wireless charging: charging speeds aren’t consistent throughout the entire charging cycle. Both devices charged considerably faster when starting at a lower battery percentage and slowed as their batteries became more full. Overall, the D5 delivered solid charging performance, particularly during the lower-battery portion of my testing.
TFT Display
One of the things I’ve really started enjoying in modern charging devices is a built-in display. I’ve had several charging bricks that include them, and I love being able to see how much wattage my devices are receiving while they charge. In some cases, I’ve even been able to determine whether a cable or device can still charge based on what the display tells me. Because of that, the TFT display on the D5 is a wonderful feature for me.
The display provides useful charging information, but I also really like having the clock on it. The animated character is a fun addition, too, and gives the D5 a little more personality than your typical charging station. I think the display is bright enough to be easily readable without being overly bright or distracting.
I did find it a little odd that the time is adjusted by connecting the D5 to your phone via Bluetooth, but nothing else appears to require that connection. It would have been nice to see Bluetooth used for additional customization options, such as adjusting the display or choosing which information is shown.
Cooling Fan
As far as the cooling fan goes, I barely noticed it. I have another wireless charger with an active cooling fan, and it’s quite noticeable when it runs. By comparison, the fan on the D5 was extremely quiet during my testing.
I think the fan did a good job, too. I didn’t notice either my iPhone or Apple Watch getting excessively warm while charging, although I would have liked to see a way to monitor the temperature directly to determine just how much of a difference the fan makes. Still, having active cooling without having to listen to a noticeable fan is a nice combination.
Controls and Retractable Watch Charger
I thought it was interesting that the Apple Watch charging pad is mechanical and controlled by the touch button. I have another charging station with a retractable watch charger, but that one is activated by a traditional push button. The D5’s touch-controlled mechanism gives it a more modern feel and makes it easy to hide the charger when it’s not being used.
The Touch Button controls several different functions, although some of them are only available when a device is charging. For example, double-tapping the Touch Button turns the cooling fan on and off, but this function is only available when a phone is charging. It took a little time to figure out which functions were available and when, but once I understood how the controls worked, the D5 was relatively easy to operate.
Conclusion
The KUXIU D5 5-in-1 Wireless Charging Station is an interesting take on the traditional multi-device charging station. While it technically only provides three charging surfaces, KUXIU has added several useful features that help set the D5 apart from the competition. There are a few things I would like to see improved. The “5-in-1” name can be somewhat misleading since there are only three charging areas, and the Bluetooth connection for the clock feels like an unnecessary requirement when there aren’t additional customization options available through the connection. The touch controls can also take a little time to learn because certain functions are only available under specific circumstances.
Even with those minor shortcomings, the D5 does a good job of combining charging, monitoring, and convenience features into a compact desktop accessory. If you want more than just a place to drop your devices at the end of the day, the D5 offers a compelling combination of features and performance.
