GK: Claudio Bravo

After winning the Premier League, Joe Hart was taken out of the team and replaced by Claudio Bravo.

He was supposed to have been brought in for his ability to play with his feet, but he made far too many mistakes and did not last long in the starting line-up.

RB: Danny Mills

Having performed well in a Leeds United shirt, Danny Mills did not quite live up to the billing at Man City.

Many Man City fans have bad memories of him, and he has been accused of moving to the club just to earn more money.

RCB: Tal Ben Haim

Tal Ben Haim was signed just after Man City's takeover in 2008, and it was quickly clear that he was not at the desired level to help the club kick on.

The centre-back was another error-prone player in the Premier League, and struggled to settle at a number of clubs he played for.

LCB: Eliaquim Mangala

One of three players in this XI to also feature in our Man City’s worst Premier League signings of all time, Eliaquim Mangala was frankly a waste of money at £39m.

He struggled to adapt to the Premier League, and was shipped out on loan multiple times before leaving on a free transfer.

LB: Ben Thatcher

Responsible for perhaps the worst tackle ever seen in the Premier League on Pedro Mendes, Ben Thatcher takes the left-back spot.

He suffered multiple relegations in the top flight, and did not seem to improve as a player at man City.

RM: Savinho

Perhaps a harsh pick given his undoubted ability, but Savinho never lived up to his hype at Man City.

He only scored seven goals in 84 appearances, and many raised their eyebrows when he was sold to Tottenham for £85m this summer!

RCM: Jack Rodwell

Jack Rodwell was signed as a prospect from Everton, but he never developed into the top player he promised to be.

The midfielder lasted only two years at Man City, and scored just twice with no assists in 25 appearances.

LCM: Kalvin Phillips

Another poor signing anchors the midfield in Kalvin Phillips.

He is technically still a Man City player despite being loaned out to Sheffield United again this summer, and has just not looked anywhere near the £42m they paid to Leeds for him.

LM: Scott Sinclair

Another player that was simply not good enough for Man City was Scott Sinclair.

The winger failed to score or assist in 19 appearances for the club, and fans do not have many good memories of him, if any at all.

RS: Wilfried Bony

Wilfried Bony showed promise at Swansea City, and Man City decided to gamble by paying around £28m for his services, which was a significant fee in 2015.

Unfortunately it just did not work out in Manchester, and Bony was eventually sold back to Swansea just two years later at a £17m loss!

LS: Georgios Samaras

Completing the XI is another player Man City fans just could not warm up to in Georgios Samaras.

The striker scored just 12 goals in 65 appearances for the Cityzens, and lasted just three seasons in Manchester.
