Fortunately for Cubs fans who stayed through the rain delay, Bregman’s heroics came during the ninth inning, giving the Cubs their second straight win and guaranteeing at least a season series split with the White Sox after the Pale Hose took two-of-three at Rate Field.
The Cubs will go for the series sweep on Wednesday afternoon at Wrigley Field, with Clay Holmes taking the mound for the North Siders.
