ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Fair weather Tuesday and Tuesday night will turn a little wet at times on Wednesday thanks to an approaching cold front. If you’re out and about first thing Wednesday morning, it should be dry. But the cold front knocking on our door will bring some showers to the area just after the morning commute. There may be a few rumbles of thunder, as well. Once the main batch of rain passes through, we’ll see the return of some sunshine. In turn, this may help to pop a few more isolated afternoon showers.
Once this front passes through and high pressure builds back in, we’ll see a nice quiet and comfortable end to the work week. Thursday and Friday will both see a fair amount of sunshine and temperatures in the mid 70s. Dew points will also drop back once again to very comfortable levels in the 50s, keeping relative humidity low.
Our weekend looks like it’ll start off dry through the first part of Saturday, but an upper level low will slowly move in and park itself over us this weekend. That will keep our weather somewhat unsettled both weekend days. Some showers and storms will likely develop during the afternoon and evening on Saturday, and linger off and on into Sunday. Saturday looks like it should make it into the 80s, as long as the rain holds off long enough. Sunday will likely hold in the 70s with that cooler air aloft and hit and miss showers and some thunder.
