ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Pretty uneventful weather day coming up with some patchy fog possible this morning followed by partly cloudy skies and reasonable humidity. Clouds and humidity increase overnight as a cold front approaches from the northwest, then that front passes through tomorrow which will cause showers and thunderstorms.
Showers will arrive early in the morning, then a short break in the late morning before a few thunderstorms pass from northwest to southeast in the afternoon. These storms are not expected to be severe and there are no flood concerns so we’ll keep it Green on the Threat Tracker. Other than that it will be very muggy out until late in the evening when high pressure starts to settle in behind the cold front and clear our skies.
Some patchy fog possible again Thursday morning but mostly sunny skies afterwards all the way through Friday with highs in the mid to upper 70s and low humidity. Showers and storms return this weekend; check back in for updates on the specific timing and intensity.
Near or below average temperatures are expected for the Great Lakes from now all the way through early September.
