Considering this edition of the championships was the first since 2018, the number of records rewritten is quite large.
For context, we will only be looking at the fastest performers in each event in which a meet record was set. Several events set multiple new records over the course of the day, but we will only highlight the final time each record was broken. For the sake of grouping, we will separate the events by the days on which they were contested.

Only 10 Pan Pacific Championship Records remain unbroken after the four days of action, with the oldest record in the books now going to Australia’s Jessica Schipper in the women’s 200 fly with her 2:05.40 from 2006, also the only record left from before 2010.

The oldest record broken at the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships was on the 3rd day of action at the hands of Australia’s Sam Short, who downed Ian Thorpe‘s 400 free meet record of 3:41.83 with a final performance of 3:40.52.

Two of the meet records in Irvine also double as World Records: Kate Douglass‘ blistering 23.19 50 free and the US 4×100 mixed medley relay performance of 3:36.70.

Sam Short comes away from the meet with the most individual meet records with three (400 free, 800 free, 1500 free).
