ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Dominican Day in Rochester just wrapped up with celebrations at the International Plaza.
There was music, dance, food and family activities. Many artists performed, including an international artist. News10NBC caught up with a woman on the committee who said this day is about sharing the culture with the public.
“It’s great to have a venue like the International Plaza that allows us to get together and celebrate our community — in unity and with a lot of rhythm and a lot of flavor like we like and we look forward our traditions and cultures with the whole community,” said Jessica Delvalle with the Dominican Day Committee.
She added each year Dominican Day gets bigger. It has been held at the International Plaza since 2021.
