ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A warm front will approach from the southwest today which will drive in muggy air and cause a chance of isolated to scattered showers & thunder in the afternoon into the evening. Showers will likely spark up east of Lake Erie and may bring brief downpours and rumbles of thunder, but chances for anything strong forming are low and most of the day will be rain-free, so Threat Tracker remains Green. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.
More chances for showers overnight as a cold front then passes, and for much of Monday this cold front will not be helping to bring our humidity down. Highs will be around 80; clouds will turn to afternoon sun; and there may still be a few stray showers southeast of Rochester at times. Much better weather on Tuesday as high pressure settles back in.
Humidity rises again on Wednesday, then a cold front scrapes it up and causes more showers and thunder.
