August 10-16, 2026 Paris, France — Olympic Aquatics Centre LCM (50 Meters) Meet Information Meet Central Entries Results Live Results SwimSwam Preview Index Live Stream Recaps: Prelims: Day 1 | Day 2 Finals: Day 1 | Day 2The Netherlands rest world record holder and individual 100 free champion Marrit Steenbergen, but will anchor with silver medalist Milou van Wijk this morning as they aim to avoid a repeat of the 4×200 free, in which they finished 9th and missed the final.
She is joined by Yara van Kalmthout, who was 11th in the heats of the individual event but did not progress to the semi-finals as she was the fourth-fastest Dutch swimmer, Tessa Giele, and Femke Spiering. They will add Steenbergen and Imani de Jong tonight.
Great Britain also fields a strong team, using Freya Anderson, Leah Schlosshan, Abbie Wood, and Theodora Taylor, who split 52.63 at the Commonwealth Games. The first two will have the 200 free in this morning’s session as well, and this quartet will be fighting to join Evelyn Davis and probably Freya Colbert tonight.
Germany leads off with Nina Holt, who was on anchor duties in the mixed medley final last night, as it swims a near-full strength team too. Linda Roth, who anchored in 53.80 in the mixed medley heats, the only main swimmer left off. Nina Jazy and Julianna Bocska, who both swim in the NCAA, for Virginia and Tennessee, respectively, join Holt as does Maya Tobehn.
Italy rests Sara Curtis but otherwise swims a strong team, with Emma Virginia Menicucci making the individual 100 free semi-finals last night and Alessandra Mao winning the European junior title last month, although she has looked off in both the individual 100 free and the 4×200 free relay so far. Spain gives 16-year-old Irene Ciercoles Galve the leadoff leg after she anchored their mixed medley relay in 53.35, 1.33 seconds under her flat start best of 54.68.
France uses a full strength team which includes Beryl Gastaldello and Marie Wattel, both of whom were individual finalists, while Hungary also swim their fastest quartet, which features Nikolett Padar, Lilla Minna Abraham, and Panna Ugrai who were on the silver medal-winning 4×200 free team, as well as Petra Senanszky, the 2024 European champion in the 50 free.
Neutral Athletes B leave off individual finalist Daria Klepikova, as well as 9th-place finisher Maria Osetrova, but Aleksandra Kuznetsova anchors again after doing so in the mixed medley final last night. She is joined by Kiro Manokhina, Dariia Surushkina, and Kseniia Sorokina.
We appear to be down to 11 teams, with no Polish swimmers on the start lists.
