Proton today announced an update to the Proton Drive Command Line Interface (CLI), expanding its functionality to give businesses more ways to automate file management, backups, and deployment workflows while maintaining strong privacy and security.
The Proton Drive CLI allows businesses to interact with their cloud storage directly through a terminal. Instead of manually handling files or relying on a desktop application, organizations can use commands and scripts to automate tasks such as backing up files, uploading and downloading content, organizing files, and sharing them.
For businesses managing sensitive information, manual file handling can introduce inconsistencies and create potential gaps in security. Automation helps make workflows more reliable and repeatable while ensuring files remain protected by Proton Drive’s end-to-end encryption.
