The film, which is set to premiere later this autumn at the New York Film Festival, follows a family living in the mountains as autumn draws to a close and they prepare for the long winter ahead.

Meanwhile, behind the camera, Tristan Goligher for The Bureau, Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev for Calgary-based Nomadic Pictures, and Michael Elliott serve as producers.
In 2023, he released All of Us Strangers, his most significant critical and commercial success to date. Featuring Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell, the all-star British drama was an emotional LGBTQ+ love story adapted from Japanese author Taichi Yamada's novel, Strangers.
The film was nominated for six BAFTAs, including best film, best director and best screenplay.
He explained: "I think of this film as a bookend to a lot of things I’ve been exploring over the last 15 years of making films."
He continued: "As I’ve grown up and my life has changed — all of these stories that have been me trying to understand my own background, my life, my childhood, absences in my own life and certain losses — I’ve come to terms with a lot. So I feel like this is an endpoint."
