2026 U.S. Masters Summer National Championships
Aug. 5-9, 2026 Sacramento, California LCM (50 meters) Meet CentralFifty years after competing for Belgium at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Colette Crabbe had another memorable swim on Thursday during the second day of the U.S. Masters Summer National Championships.
Competing in the 70-74 age group, Crabbe set a new USMS record in the 200 breast, coming in with a time of 3:29.57.
Crabbe wasn’t the only record setter.
Laura Val, Diann Ustal and Maureen Phillips all set AQUA Masters, world and USMS records in their age groups.
In the 75-79 age group, Val, 75, set new records in the 100 back, coming in with a time of 1:18.27.
Uustal, 80, set new records for the 80-84 age group in the 100 back, clocking a time of 1:35.01.
The other triple-record breaker was Phillips, who set new records in the 100 fly for the 50-54 age group, coming in with a time of 1:07.37.
Another record breaker was Katie Glenn, 50, who set a new 200 breast USMS record in the 50-54 age group with a time of 2:52.90.
On the second day, competitions were also held in the 400 free for both the women and men in addition to the 200 breast, 100 back and 100 fly.
On Friday, the 200 fly, 50 breast, 100 free and 400 IM races will be held for both genders. The 200 medley relay events — women’s, men’s and mixed — will also take place.
