SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) - Even before the official start of Old Spanish days, Fiesta dancers are already on a stage and in front of hundreds of people.
It's taking place in a performance area at the Paseo Nuevo Mall through Saturday.
The special area with chairs, is at the De la Guerra street entrance next to the Balboa Building.Dance groups of all ages will be showing off their flamenco, folklorico and fusion dance programs every hour from noon until 7 p.m.
Mayra Guerrero has a niece dancing and said, "well it is very meaningful for myself and my family, the girls they love to perform, they love to dance. It is very exciting to be part of the community and see the community come together. The girls are so passionate about dance and it is so fun to see them going up there and doing something that they love to do."
The performers have been practicing their dances for months.
