Former Tennessee tight end Princeton Fant suffered an apparent knee injury and had to be helped and later carter off the field while practicing for the Dallas Cowboys on Monday. According to a report from Dallas News’ Calvin Watkins, Fant is expected to receive an MRI to determine the severity of his injury.

The former Vols tight end was used mostly as a blocker, but carved out a role as a goal line rusher in 2022. Fant has spent his entire NFL career in Dallas, hopping on and off the Cowboys’ practice squad. He’s appeared in 9 NFL contests — 8 in 2024 and 1 last season against Arizona.
Earlier this week, former Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell suffered an LCL tear while practicing with the Carolina Panthers. It was reported on Thursday that Brazzell will have surgery, which will end his rookie season.
