ALBANY, N.Y. — New York’s Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) helped drive business growth statewide in 2025, with Monroe County seeing significant gains.
In New York State, Gov. Kathy Hochul said the SBDC served more than 27,000 businesses and entrepreneurs through one-on-one advisement and training, securing over $200 million in revenue, and saved over 31,000 jobs while creating over 3,300 jobs.
“Small Business Development Centers throughout New York State are helping New Yorkers turn good ideas into vibrant small businesses,” Governor Hochul said. “From Long Island to Niagara Falls, and the North Country to the Southern Tier, these centers are empowering New York small businesses and entrepreneurs to step up, achieve upward mobility, and serve as job creators within their local communities. I will continue to use every tool at my disposal to help New York workers and job creators thrive and prosper.”
The Monroe County center helped businesses secure $5.8 million, launch 37 new businesses, and create more than 1,000 jobs.
