July 28-August 1, 2026 Ocala, Florida LCM (50 meters) Psych Sheet ResultsDay 3 of the 2026 YMCA National Championships saw several more strong performances, as one national record held by 2024 US Olympian Matt Fallon nearly fell.
The team points battle continues to heat up as well. Upper Main Line YMCA still holds a commanding lead over the combined points total, with 735.5 points, over 100 points ahead of Greater Spartanburg. However, in both of the individual categories, there has been some morement in the ranks. For the boys team title, it is currently Greater Somerset County that holds the lead over the field with 386.5 points. However, Upper Main Line remains less than 10 points behind at 378 points. On the girls’ side, Lakeland Hills currently tops the standings with 388.5 points, but similarly, Upper Main Line remains within striking distance with 357.5 points.
The girls’ 100 butterfly saw Serena Dickey capture her first individual national title of the meet, as the Illinois commit from Lakeland Hills dropped over a second from her prelims swim to touch in 1:01.57. Dickey also avenged her disqualification in the 200 butterfly earlier in the meet with her performance. Ali Sadri of ME Lyons was the only other swimmer under 1:03, finishing 2nd in 1:02.89, while 16-year-old Joelle Van Duzer of Greater Holyoke rounded out the podium in 1:03.59.
In the closest race of the meet thus far, the boys’ 100 butterfly came down to the touch, with just 0.03 seconds separating the top two finishers. Luke Hamon of Foothills captured the national title in 54.58, narrowly edging BYU commit Jimmy Beeson of Greater Spartanburg, who touched just behind in 54.61. The pair entered finals tied for the top seed after both posted 54.55 in prelims, and their race in finals certainly lived up to the hype. Christopher Wasko of Greater Somerset County finished 3rd in 56.13 after dropping nearly three-quarters of a second from his morning swim.
Vicky Sluk of Lakeland Hills captured the national title in the girls’ 200 backstroke, posting a winning time of 2:19.09 to best the field. The 16-year-old held off a late charge from Taylor Leishman of Wyckoff, who touched just 0.35 seconds behind in 2:19.44 after dropping nearly two seconds from her prelims swim. Kate Chesley of Greenwich rounded out the podium in 2:21.23 after slicing more than three seconds off her morning swim.
In the boys’ 200 backstroke, Kyle Burk of Ridley Area delivered an impressive swim, becoming the only swimmer in the field to break the 2:05 barrier with his winning time of 2:04.90. Michael Metz of Powel Crosley Jr. YMCA made one of the biggest moves of the final, finishing 2nd in 2:05.66 improving by more than four seconds from prelims. Upper Main Line’s Jayden Kwon rounded out the podium in 2:06.44.
The girls’ 400 individual medley saw Aivleen Walsh of York put together a dominant performance to claim the national title in 4:58.69. The 18-year-old was the only swimmer in the field to break five minutes after dropping more than six seconds from her prelims swim. Fourteen-year-old Megan Simpson of Upper Main Line turned in a standout performance of her own to finish 2nd in 5:01.23, while Greater Spartanburg’s Grace Hunt claimed 3rd in 5:04.96. All three medalists posted significant improvements from their morning swims.
William Rees continued his impressive meet with another national title, as the 18-year-old touched in 4:25.58 to take first in the boys 400 IM. Rees was just a few tenths shy of Matt Fallon‘s YMCA National Record of 4:25.27 in route to adding the 400 IM crown to his boys’ 200 breaststroke title from earlier in the meet. The podium here looked very simiar to the 200 breaststroke as fifteen-year-old Cullen Cashman of South Shore YMCA finished 2nd in 4:29.38, earning his second siver medal of the meet. Carter Smith of Greater Somerset County rounded out the podium in 4:32.95, as all three medalists posted significant time drops in the final.
The girls’ 800 freestyle relay saw Upper Main Line capture the national title in impressive fashion, as the quartet of Whitney Kane, Lily Kirk, Keilani Silva, and Megan Simpson touched in a winning time of 8:27.81. The team dropped nearly 11 seconds from its prelims swim to finish almost three seconds clear of the field. Greater Spartanburg finished 2nd in 8:30.70 behind the team of Eva Lyle, Bella Stewart, Claire Burns, and Ansley Brinkman, while Triangle Area rounded out the podium in 8:35.56 with Campbell Lange, Paige Snyder, Poppy Fishburn, and Aubrey Mitchell.
Closing out the session, Greater Somerset County captured the national title in the boys’ 800 freestyle relay in a time of 7:47.86. The quartet of Jack Thompson, Christopher Wasko, Evan Minakas, and Domingo Gatti narrowly held off the field, with just 0.15 seconds separating the champions from Greater Spartanburg. The Spartanburg squad of Maddex Ternes, Levi Smith, Finn McEnroe, and Jimmy Beeson touched in 7:48.01, while Upper Main Line’s team of Brady Gallagher, Jack Hutto, Ben Gotro, and Jayden Kwon claimed 3rd in 7:48.45.
