July 29 – August 2, 2026 Sacramento, California North Natomas Aquatic Center LCM (50 meters) Meet Central Psych Sheet Results on Meet Mobile: “2026 Futures Championships – Sacramento”The opening day of the 2026 Futures Championships in Sacramento was action-packed as one national age group record fell by the wayside and another got a serious scare.
In the men’s 200 freestyle relay, the Quicksilver Swimming quartet of Nathan Foucu (22.57), Clark Apuada (23.53), Jack Cameron (22.97) and Tyler Porter (22.26) combined for a time of 1:31.33, breaking the 17-18 NAG record of 1:31.46 set by Rose Bowl Aquatics in 2023.
All four members of the Quicksilver relay are 18.
Foucu, Apuada and Porter were previously apart of the Quicksilver team that broke the 15-16 NAG in the 200-yard free relay back in 2024.
They also narrowly missed out on the 15-18 NAG record, which stands at 1:31.09 from the Lakeside Aquatic Club in 2023.

The other headlining swim from the opening day came in the women’s 200 free, where 14-year-old Lauren Lonsdale took a real run at the 47-year-old NAG record held by Sippy Woodhead.
Lonsdale unleashed a time of 1:58.90, shattering her previous best of 2:01.45—also set in Sacramento at the Pro Swim Series stop in May—and moving up to #5 all-time in the girls’ 13-14 age group. Her previous best time ranked her 21st all-time.

Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics won the women’s 200 free relay in 1:44.33 behind the quartet of Louise Scherrer (26.35), Audrey Cheng (26.22), Allison Liu (25.87) and Llew Ladomirak (25.89).
Sarasota placed 2nd in 1:45.44, getting a noteworthy 25.52 lead-off from Lesniewska, who improved on her previous best of 25.83 in the 50 free to move up into a tie for sixth all-time in the girls’ 13-14 age group.

Ava Collins, 15, won the women’s race in a time of 1:10.35, inching under her week-old best of 1:10.43 set at the Speedo Sectionals in Novata. She was followed by Tri-City Channel Cats’ Sofia Nielson, 16, who knocked a second off her PB in 1:11.35.
Aidan Collins, a 17-year-old Arizona State commit, followed up by topping the men’s race in a time of 1:02.47, edging out Quicksilver’s Jack Cameron (1:02.79) and Rose Bowl’s Ettore Colombo (1:02.90). The swim for Collins improved on the 1:03.27 personal best he set in the prelims, while his PB coming into the meet stood at 1:03.64.
The 18-year-old Cameron broke 1:03 for the first time, with his previous best of 1:03.25 having been set at this meet last year, while Colombo, 16, moves into 6th this season in the boys’ 15-16 age group after entering the meet with a best time of 1:04.31 (and going 1:03.95 in the prelims).

Thunder Coast Aquatics’ Ben Butler won the men’s 200 free in a time of 1:50.35, narrowly missing the best time of 1:50.18 he set en route to winning the event at this meet last year. The rising Arizona sophomore led a trio of 19-year-olds in the top three. Manta Ray Aquatics’ Ella Morgan won the women’s 200 fly in 2:14.02, dropping exactly one second off her previous best to rank 7th in the girls’ 15-16 age group this season. This swim came after she placed 13th overall in the 200 free (2:06.11) earlier in the session. Palo Alto Stanford’s Arthur Balva, a rising senior at Princeton, won the men’s 200 fly in 1:57.76, just over four-tenths shy of his two-year-old best time of 1:57.35 from the 2024 Sacramento Futures. Rising Michigan junior and Sandpipers of Nevada product Rebecca Diaconescu won the women’s 800 free in 8:44.89, improving on her season-best of 8:46.57 set in May. The 20-year-old, who represents Romania on the international stage, set her best time of 8:36.51 en route to a 5th-place finish last summer at the World University Games. It was a Sandpiper sweep in the distance events, as Luke Collins won the men’s 1500 free in 15:52.34, knocking 15 seconds off his previous best of 16:07.67 set just last month.
