September 20th – September 25th (pool swimming) Prelims at 10am local (9pm previous night ET)/Finals at 5pm local (4am ET) Tokyo Aquatics Centre LCM (50m) Meet Central Entries Live Results Recaps Prelims: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5 Finals: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5We have made it to the final day of the 2026 Asian Games, on this last day of swimming competition, the final prelims slate will feature the the women’s 50 fly, men’s t0 breast, women’s 800 free ‘B’ final, men’s 200 back, men’s 400 free, men’s 200 fly, and the women’s 4×100 medley relay.
China’s sprint fly ace Zhang Yufei will be looking to defend her 2023 title as the top seed in the women’s 50 fly. Asian Record holder Qin Haiyang will enter this race as the top entered seed for the 50 breaststroke, though many eyes will be focused on Shin Ohashi after his World Record swim in the 200 breast on day 5.
The ‘B’ final of the women’s 800 free will be contested in the prelims with the Hong Kong duo of Jailian Candice Gao and Gilaine Ma in the middle of the pool looking to throw down a big time for the final heat to chase.
The men’s 200 back will feature Japanese ace Hidekazu Takehara who leads all entries in 1:55.57. Following that will be the men’s 400 with Zhang Zhanshuo, who pulled off a massive double on day 5, winning the 800 free and picking up another win in the 4×100 relay will look to secure his spot in the final in the hopes of a 7th Asian Games gold.
The final individual event will be the men’s 200 fly, led by Tomoyuki Matsushita, entered with the top time of 1:54.28.
