The beloved franchise has secured a long-term streaming future on Netflix, with a new global agreement that expands it into fresh territories including the UK.
Crucially, the agreement is set to bring the flagship series to markets including UK, Italy, Australia and New Zealand. In the UK, Sky and NOW have traditionally been home to The Walking Dead.

AMC's own service, AMC+ (which is available in territories including United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, and India), will retain the franchise and gains the original series from 2027.
The launch dates will be staggered. Netflix will keep US rights to the original series and add the major international territories, while from 2027 it will become the global streaming home for the six spin-offs, with launch dates varying by territory as existing local licences expire.
