Israeli occupation forces expanded their military operations in the West Bank, conducting a campaign of raids and arrests that covered Qalqilya, Nablus, Ramallah, Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem, Tulkarm, Tubas, Jericho, and Jerusalem.
Palestinian sources told the WAFA news agency that occupation forces arrested at least 14 Palestinians in the Ramallah Governorate and around 40 others during a raid on the village of Till, southwest of Nablus.
The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, Francesca Albanese, stated that Israeli settlers are “escalating their deadly attacks against defenseless Palestinians in the West Bank,” calling for those responsible to be held accountable.
She added that settlers shot Palestinians “in cold blood” in the towns of Till and Far’ata, emphasizing that the continuation of these attacks reflects the state of impunity enabled by the protection that occupation forces provide to the settlers.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the escalation of settler attacks, reaffirming its absolute rejection of the assaults targeting Palestinian villages.
