Chief Electoral Officer R. Gopalan said the revision exercise is aimed at preparing an accurate, transparent and error-free electoral roll ahead of future elections in the state.

The draft electoral roll was published on July 5, with July 1, 2026, fixed as the qualifying date for the revision. After the disposal of all claims and objections, the final electoral roll will be published on September 6, 2026.
The CEO has appealed to all eligible citizens to actively participate in the revision process by checking their voter details and submitting applications, if required. Voters can seek inclusion of names, correction of particulars, deletion of entries, or change of address through their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs), the Voters’ Service Portal, or the ECINET mobile application.
