WAYNE COUNTY, N.Y. — Back on Saturday, July 11, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office got a call from kayakers about seeing a human foot in a hiking boot on the break wall at Blind Sodus Bay.
Deputies say they also saw the foot and then recovered it.
The remains were taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office for investigation.
WCSO says they’re working with other law enforcement, including Canadian authorities, to identify the remains.
