LOS OSOS, Calif. (KEYT) – On Thursday, 22-year-old Wayland Stronglee of Los Osos was arrested as part of an ongoing sexual assault investigation involving a minor he met online.
On July 16, a search warrant was served in the 2100 block of Fresno Street in Los Osos and, during the search, the 22-year-old Los Osos man was taken into custody and booked on charges of rape by force and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor stated a press release from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
According to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office, investigators have determined that Stronglee met the sexual assault survivor through social media before the alleged crime occurred.
Detectives are now turning to the public for help investigating Stronglee and believe there are more survivors that have yet to come forward the local sheriff's office shared with Your News Channel.
