A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this morning for the city’s Maplewood Nature Center. The center, located on Bridge View Drive, offers outdoor play areas, interactive environmental education and community spaces.
“They’ve been working on this for close to eight years, have a camp here, to see this built, it’s kind of a dream come true,” said Sara Scott, director of programs and parks stewardship.
Starting July 21, the Maplewood Nature Center will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
